Clerical cat drinks Dean of Canterbury’s tea during morning sermon

A cat helps himself to the vicar’s milk during an online prayer service. Sacrilege has never been so adorable.

With the increased use of cameras during our era, we get to see things that we normally might not get to. Here a vicar gets absorbed in explaining some aspect of scripture.

While the vicar’s eyes are trained on the camera, a cat’s nose picks up the scent of milk coming from a tea set. Will the dignity of the occasion makes the cat wait?

Temptation descends upon the errant little furry one and he doesn’t hesitate. He gets up into the chair and shamelessly attempts to drink the milk.

It looks like the mug is too narrow for his head, so he then dips his paw into the milk and laps it up off of his paw. No signs of guilt are forthcoming.

If your first impression of the vicar was a serious one, he allays any such ideas by stroking the cat’s fur and announcing that we’ve gained a friend for the morning viewing.
