In a freak and tragic incident, a woman was out horse riding with her daughter. The horses stepped into the ground that was too soft and they quickly sank. The woman raced to get her daughter and her smaller horse out of the mud, but her own horse, Astro, was deeply trapped.
This young and brave mother in Australia struggled to remain calm for her beloved horse, Astro. The mud was thick and acted like quicksand. Rescuers sedated Astro to calm him, and the lady hugged him for the three hours it took to rescue him. With the high tide due to come soon, rescuers had to hurry or Astro would surely drown. It isn’t that easy to free a 500-kilogram horse from a quagmire, however. But it seems there is no stopping firefighters, a veterinarian, a farmer, and a tractor. Thankfully, this rescue effort had an incredibly happy ending.
