10-year-old tomcat Mr. Belvedere was taken in off the streets and given the love he never had. The affection of his momma turned him into a kitten again.
The life of a feral tomcat is not easy. It’s full of danger and deprivation and disease. For Mr. Belvedere, it seemed he felt he was so sick that he stepped into a rescue trap of his own accord as if he was begging to get help.
At first the cat would not allow anyone to touch him. In order to get Mr. Belvedere to trust her, his rescuer would pet him with a wooden spoon through the bars of his crate.
After a few weeks, he began to trust her enough to let her pet him with a garden glove, and then he allowed her to start giving him the medicine he needed for his many health issues.
Finally, a bond of trust had bloomed between Mr. B and his rescuer. He was ready to get a forever home. He found his new momma in Jenna De Cristofaro, who took one look in his eyes and instantly fell in love.
