There have been some impressive videos out there showing dogs singing along to music. One of them was on a talent show, crooning Dolly Parton/Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You.” I don’t think I’ve seen anything like this though, with a pooch singing along with an opera singer’s music. Perhaps this will become a new genre of music after enough people have seen this video. Any recording executives out there?
Oscar, a golden retriever, is standing next to his daddy as he sits down and starts playing a certain part of Andrea Bocelli’s “The Prayer” on the piano. At certain parts of the song, he howls. There even some instances where he holds the howl for an impressive amount of time, much longer than I would be capable of. He also shows a good sense of the song and has good rhythm. Maybe Bocelli can use him for accompaniment.
Some comments on the YouTube page noted that the piano seemed to be out of tune and that may have been what made Oscar howl. I’m going to have to defer to the experts since my ear can’t detect the difference between a B-flat and a C-sharp.
Maybe Oscar’s daddy should look at audition listings – a band could need a new singer! Have you seen anything like this before?
