Just like humans, some animal mothers may experience symptoms of postpartum depression. When animals go through this, it can get so bad that they abandon their young. Thankfully, there are rescues out there that come in to save the day.
Pickles is a tiny piglet that will instantly make you smile. She was the only baby to survive out of her little, and her mother was too distraught to raise her. Pickles the Piglet was brought to Farm Sanctuary to be given a second chance.
With tiny dancing hooves and an adorable wagging tail, it’s hard not to fall in love with this little cutie. Everyone that visits the sanctuary gets the honor of seeing Miss Pickles, and she instantly melts their hearts.
She continues to grow stronger every day and is closely monitored by staff and volunteers at the rescue center. We can’t wait to see the rest of her story unfold as Pickles continues to grow into a big, strong, pig.
