Radio 1 Has Unique Foot Race During Big Sheep Dash

Radio 1 is easily one of the most popular radio stations in the world. They host a myriad of events throughout the year, including concerts, fundraising events, and even something they deem the Big Sheep Dash.

The Big Sheep Dash takes place in Middlesbrough, just before Radio 1’s Big Weekend in 2019. If you’ve ever seen people go to the horse track to bet on which stallion will win, it’s a lot like that.

Whooly creatures take to the field with Steve the Farmer leading them with a bucket of delicious grub. Famous singers like James Arthur and Lewis Capaldi have their bets placed and fingers crossed that their choice sheep wins.

The animals are safe, happy, and well taken care of, which is always refreshing to hear. A sheep by the name “Blita Ora,” very likely named after the singer Rita Ora, won the race. This was such a unique and entertaining event that brought a smile to everyone watching and listening.
