The Routine Begins Like Any Other, But What This Horse Does Next? I Can’t Believe It…

You never know what to expect when you visit the wide world of horse dressage. The judges and spectators at the 2006 World Equestrian Games can vouch for that. When they settled into their seats, they had no idea what was in store for them.

World famous horse Blue Hors Matine and owner Andreas Helgstrand blew their competitors out of the water with their performance at that year’s show. They prepared for their routine for months, and their dedication is apparent in every move.

Commentators at the show thought they would be getting something dramatic from the dynamic duo, and they weren’t wrong. Matine and Helgstrand started their routine with standard dressage music and on-point moves, but about halfway through, things got really interesting.

Right in the middle of Matine and Helgstrand’s performance, the music shifts from classic, to a jazzy, contemporary version of ‘Lady Marmalade’ . With the change in music came a whole change of atmosphere.

Commentators that night said ‘it has a feeling of a pop concert tonight, and Matine and Andreas are really delivering the goods.’ Watching Matine and Helgstrand is both fascinating and magical. You won’t want to miss this!
