It’s a shame when an owner can’t properly care for a dog. When one woman stumbles across a litter of weak newborn pups at a backyard breeder, she rescues and nurses them to strength.
The woman did not expect one pup to survive the night. He, an albino pup whom she named Lucky, was small and weak. Surprisingly, he pulled through the night and ironically became the lone survivor of the litter.
Lucky’s bigger and stronger brothers and sisters didn’t manage to make it through. Heartbrokenly, the woman made a vow to care for and protect Lucky no matter what. She couldn’t manage having this last one leave. As time passed, the woman cared for Lucky and brought him up to adequate health. Along the way, he lost an eye, but that didn’t stop him. Lucky grew many times past his original weight.
Today, Lucky the pup is truly lucky. He managed to survive when all odds were against him. This teaches us that even if something doesn’t seem hopeful at first, staying optimistic can prove worthy in the end.
