For most of us, our time around mirrors is a love/hate relationship. On the one hand, they are a great way to make sure that we look presentable when we leave the house, but on the other hand, they are the source of infinite worry and self-loathing. We hate that feeling of being made aware of all of our flaws and imperfections.
It can also be difficult for animals when they see themselves in the mirror for the first time. Maybe they are confused. Maybe they are disappointed. Whatever they feel, this is a new and strange thing that they’ve never seen before.
When this adorable Dogue de Bordeaux sees himself in the mirror for the first time, he can barely contain himself. All sorts of emotions flood through him. He is desperately confused and wants it to stop. Overall, he seems very angry, but because he doesn’t like to see himself or because he thinks it’s an intruder? We can’t be sure.
You’ll just have to see this hilarious little dog for himself as he sees himself face-to-face for the first time. We are so glad that mom was around to film this, um, encounter.
