There are so many amusing children and animal videos out there online that it would be impossible to see them all. Still, considering how many I watch for my job, you would think it would be hard to pick a favorite. I would probably agree with that idea, except that I have found this video that we have posted for you below. I haven’t snort-laughed so hard since I can remember.
Most children want to have their own dog while growing up. However, the girl featured here seems to have wanted another type of animal altogether. This little girl wants a hamster (though, to be fair, I think she may be confusing a hamster with a guinea pig – but after watching this, that won’t matter either).
While it is unclear whether this is Christmas morning, it is clear it is a festive time of year with a lovely holiday-dressed tree in the background. There is a gift on the floor, though it isn’t wrapped; mom calls out to her daughter to come and open the present.
At first glance, and the second, the little girl squeals with delight as she discovers what she believes to be a hamster in the box. Her delight is evident, and she scrambles to get the box open and the little animal out. Now, by this time, you and I both know that this is a puppy, not a hamster, and mom is patiently waiting for her daughter to click to this fact also. Alas, this isn’t going to happen immediately.
After carrying the tiny, fluffy ball of adorableness across the room, the little girl hilariously says, ‘Mom, this hamster you got me sure looks like a dog.’ Well, I don’t know about you, but here is where I snort-laughed and then I admit to a few tears. This kid is priceless.
Once mom convinces her that yes, this is indeed a puppy, not a hamster, the little girl is overjoyed. You can see she is going to be a very caring and loving pet parent, no matter the species. Don’t miss this precious and hilarious moment in the video below.
