How Small A Hole Can A Cat Fit Through? This Experiment Aims To Find Out

A pet parent of two adorable cats set up an experiment to see how small a hole her cats could fit through. The surprise isn’t how small the gap was, it’s which cat made it through.

Hana and Maru are two cats living in Japan with their curious pet parent. Their momma decided to try an experiment to see how small a gap they could fit through on the way to the food bowl. As the video puts it: “If the head fits, does the body pass?”

The differences in the cats might come down to attitude. As one fan said so poignantly: “I think the reason Maru got through smaller gaps and Hana didn’t is because Maru seems much more stubborn than Hana. Maru wanted to go through the hole and didn’t want to concede so easily, where Hana doesn’t seem as stubborn and is willing to think of other options more quickly.”
