She took him to OKC Animal Welfare, who then handed him over to the care of Mutts Misfits Animal Rescue Society. The nonprofit organization reported that the dog had suffered physical and emotional trauma, with his body covered in scars and wounds. But despite all of this, the dog remained sweet and gentle.
The dog was then placed in foster care with a woman named Kayla Wise, who named him Karus. Kayla reported that the dog was initially scared and exhausted, with his case being the worst she had seen in her home. But as Karus began to recover, his personality started to shine, and he gained weight.
As Karus made strides towards a full recovery, Kayla began searching for a forever home for the dog. And as fate would have it, Karus found his forever home with none other than Feleciana Ramirez, the woman who saved his life. It’s a beautiful ending to a story that began with unimaginable cruelty.
