Vanessa de Prophetis of Girl With The Dogs’ Youtube channel recently shared a video of her grooming a young German Shepherd with an interesting backstory.
At two years old, Badge is one of the youngest dogs to retire from the k9 unit of the police force. And the reason he retired is that he was too docile for police work.
Badge seems to be completely oblivious to his brush with unemployment as he thoroughly enjoys the attention he is receiving from Vanessa.
Like the good boy that he is, Badge sits through the whole thing without making a fuss. He doesn’t even mind when Vanessa uses the high-velocity blow dryer on him.
People on Youtube absolutely love Badge’s backstory with one user commenting, “BREAKING NEWS: Police officer is fired for being too nice.”
In response to Vanessa saying that Badge was probably more suited to being a family dog than a police dog, one user pointed out that with his training, he would actually be a great service dog.
After bathing and deshedding Badge, and spraying him down with some Blueberry cologne, he is seen looking handsome and very pleased with himself after his first grooming session.
