In our household, we have three cats and one dog (a Pekingese), as well as five turtles and three aquariums full of exotic fish. One might say we are animal lovers. So when I came across this video, I just had to share it.
It starts simply enough: Mom is holding her baby in her arms, and she tells him, “I love you.” You can see the pup respond immediately. The feeling is definitely mutual! But I wasn’t prepared for the dog’s response. I have never in my life seen a dog do this.
Some people will say this dog is just parroting and mimicking. Well, I don’t know about that. Dogs are awesome, adorable, and as this video shows, definitely smart.
Whether they are dog lovers or cat lovers or somewhere in between, the more people know how amazing pets are, the more kindness there will be in the world.
