The Force Is Strong With This Cockatiel As He Whistles ‘Star Wars’ Imperial March

A little birdy told me that male cockatiels whistle and sing better than female cockatiels. This is because, in the wild, they use these sounds to attract females. I will guess that this cockatiel, whistling two complex movie scores is also male.

First, he whistles the pirate song from The Pirates Of The Caribbean. It is spot on. Then he moves onto another movie with a large male fan base… Star Wars! This time our little grey friend whistles ‘The Imperial March.’ This feathered maestro does a better job of whistling the ‘Imperial March’ than some humans I have heard try to hum it.

His performance sounds better than some high school bands I have heard perform this song. The best part about the entire thing is the adorable way he struts all around while he whistles. The owner is in the background waving some kind of cloth.

I am not sure if this is how she conducts the bird, or if it is helping him stay focused. Either way, his attention span is impressive! The little guy carries the tunes for over two minutes. The only thing that would have made this better is some little bird-sized costumes, and maybe a bow at the end.
