There’s nothing quite like the pure joy of watching a dog jump to catch a treat — that is unless you count watching those jumps as they happen in slow motion. Pedigree filmed dogs jumping for snacks using a 1000 FPS speed camera made by Phantom, and the result is pure poetry in slow motion.
Back in 2010, the art of slow-motion video capture was still in its infancy. That didn’t stop Pedigree, a dog food company, from using the breakthrough technology to create something majestic. They filmed dogs jumping for treats using a high-speed Phantom camera that creates video at 1000 frames per second.
These dogs all look like something out of a painting, no matter if they have long hair or short, have long legs or short. The simple fact of seeing their jumps spread out so that we can appreciate the movement makes it beautiful and reminds us all about the true wonders of creation that are man’s best friend.
