Dogs are a man’s/woman’s best friend and they tend to prove their loyalty to you and your extended family time and again. But when another creature (in this case a tiny human) tries to take over their favorite spot, what do you think happens?
Lea, a Rhodesian Ridgeback is a massive dog as compared to the minuscule human pottering around. You can tell from her frame that she is strong and powerful and can easily over power Alfred, the toddler who seems to think that everything should be his.
Babies, on the other hand, are curious little creatures that want to inspect and see all that is there to see. When it comes the family’s pet’s bed, that’s one territory the infant is most curious about. This adorable toddler decides that he would LOVE to sleep in Lea’s bed. This dog sure loves her bed! What does the dog do?
Lea notices the infant and gently comes up to him. You would think that she would jealously guard her area and keep the intruder out. But the gentle soul that she is, she doesn’t nudge Alfred away nor does she bring attention to the dad who’s happily recording this moment about what the baby is doing.
This adorable dog gently takes out her comforter and places it on the ground next to the toddler and lays down on it, making sure that the baby can be comfy. She then gently tries to help the infant achieve his goal of entering the dog’s domain. Watch Lea encourage the baby, while keeping a watchful eye so that the bay is always safe at all times.
