Whether or not you are a dog person, you have to admit that there are some very cute dogs out there. There are also some very smart dogs out there. One glance at Cooper, a derpy-looking Shih Tzu, and you would never in a million years guess all of the unbelievable tricks he can do. Watch this video and prepare to be amazed by Cooper.
Most dogs know tricks like sit, stay, or maybe if you’re lucky, they will even give you a high five. But, not Cooper. Cooper is an excellent problem solver who knows a number of advanced tricks.
Cooper is a male Shih Tzu weighing in at 16.3 pounds (as of August 2014). His favorite toy is his shape sorter, and his favorite foods are cheese, mashed potatoes, chicken, and gravy bones. Cooper belongs to Kristy, a 27-year-old web developer who has taught Cooper all of these amazing tricks.
Cooper knows how to do everything from the easy tricks like sit, stand up, and come to all of the intermediate tricks like crawl, come find me, and how to push a button or lever. But, what’s truly amazing about Cooper is all of the advanced tricks he has mastered.
Some of these tricks include: ‘your feet on mine’ (walking and standing), where’s your tongue?, stick your tongue back in, solving a shape sorter, counting pieces of kibble, pressing yes/no buttons to express what he does and doesn’t want, pressing buttons that correspond with types of food, and sorting cotton reels by color.
