Some stories can touch your heart! Ani Davis was one day hiking in the Mountain Phoenix in Arizona. On her trail, she came across a dog, severely injured by bullets, lying against a rock. For Davis, it was difficult to gauge the situation, but the dog ultimately lifted his head and looked at her water bottle.
Davis gave his some water and then carried the 47 lbs dog in her arms down the mountains where he was taken to the humane society. Her husband and daughter had been waiting for her there. The family ultimately got the dog treated and then adopted him as a foster family. They named him Elijah.
