One would never expect to see a sled dog and snowy owl canoodling out in the wild, but that’s just what we’re witnessing in this adorable home video. And it looks like these two cold-weather pals aren’t afraid to turn up the heat with their heart-warming antics.
First a little history on these two vastly different species. The Siberian husky, not to be confused with the Alaskan Malamute, originated in Northeast Asia as a sled-puller, guard dog, and human companion.
Snowy owls, on the other hand, are found in the freezing Arctic tundras of North America and above. When paired together as unlikely roommates, who could have ever expected them to form a bond like this?
As Ilona and N’usha frolic and play, we can hardly believe how well suited these two are for each other. Don’t we all wish we had a snow day companion like these two?
