When it comes to animals, we really can’t get enough of them. We just love to hear different things about them, and we go out of our way to learn new things that we didn’t know before about all different kinds of animals. Yes, animals fascinate us, and it’s understandable why.
There are many different animals, but one animal that has recently caught our attention is a gentle giant named Big Jake. Big Jake is a Belgian horse that is the biggest recorded horse in history. Big Jake weighs in at 2,600 pounds and stands at 6 feet 11 inches tall.
Big Jake is so big that the good people of the Guinness World Records stopped by and added him in as the ‘tallest living horse’ on the planet in 2012, that’s how massive he is. Yes, Big Jake is more than just big; he is gigantic, but he is also incredibly sweet and gentle.
Big Jake’s caretaker Jerry Gilbert says that he has never had a horse with a better temperament than Big Jake and that he gets along with all the different animals where he’s taken care of at Smokey Hollow Farms in Poynette, WI.
