Humans and horses have been working together since horses were first domesticated around 3500 BCE, in Central Asia. There incredible usefulness quickly spread out of the area (modern day Ukraine and Kazakhstan) to all over the known world in only a few hundred years.
These amazing beasts of burden quickly brought about a revolution in transportation all throughout the ancient world. Humans and horses working together could accomplish tasks that neither species could possibly have been able to accomplish alone.
But humans didn’t get all the benefit; these intelligent and good-natured animals were well kept and looked after and as a result their own population flourished along with our own. This video features a horse trainer named David Lichmann, who has created this beautiful video to share with you.
