For Every View Of This Video A Pound Of Dog Food Gets Donated To Shelters… Yes…

If you’re having a boring, dull, hum-drum, draining, same-old-same-old kind of day, what could possibly liven it up? A few wagon loads of puppies, of course!

The creative agency SoulPancake helped the Purina dog food company in its effort to show us the power of puppies. The end product is a delightful video in which puppies are introduced into several mundane settings: a preschool classroom, a retirement home, and a gym. Not surprisingly, the puppies soon have everyone laughing and smiling, taking a break from the day’s routine to cast their cares aside and enjoy life. As SoulPancake explained: “We love mashing up creative stunts with happy surprises. So we came up with this idea that we would show up to several ordinary locations with armloads of puppies and document what happened. We picked a CrossFit gym, pre-school and senior citizens center so we could show that no matter what age you are, or frankly, what you’re doing, the power of puppies can make everything better.”

According to Keith Peterfeso, the Brand Manager at Purina: “We wanted to celebrate the launch of our new Puppy Chow Natural formula by demonstrating the power puppies have to naturally brighten anyone’s ordinary and mundane day. SoulPancake is known for creating uplifting and inspiring content, so we’re happy to team up with them on this project.” The company went one better, actually a lot more than one better. They announced that for every view the video had, they’d donate a pound of dog food to Rescue Bank, an organization that provides supplies and other assistance to animal shelters. The company was ready with up to 500,000 pounds of dog food!

The video was obviously a hit: it can now boast of having over 4 million views. We’ve posted it below for you and would love to hear how you liked it in the Facebook comments. Be sure to like and share while you’re at it: it’s one way to share the “power of puppies.”
