A street rescuer in Los Angeles had rescued a momma dog that was emaciated; her babies were still missing, though. And, to make matters worse, they were lost in the Los Angeles Quarry that was over 200 acres.
Since the quarry was so vast and surrounded by city traffic, the puppies needed to be located as soon as possible. Finding the puppies would need patience, persistence, and skill – something this wonderful street rescuer had plenty of.
This woman trekked under the hot sun, crawled on her hands and knees, and pushed through the fences, but her persistence paid off, and she finally found the puppies. Mamma Quarry was reunited with her babies, but sadly only three of the puppies survived, one having died from extreme dehydration.
