Selfless Woman Rescues Hopeless One-Day-Old Bird

Just like humans, animals have to adapt to extreme weather conditions. While there’s only so much they can do, the majority of the time, wildlife can find sanctuary to wait out storms. Unfortunately, there are times when animals homes get destroyed from harsh weather.

It doesn’t have to be storming for the wind to be strong enough to ruin a bird’s nest. On a beautiful spring day in May, a Michigan woman named Susan saw one of the House finch nests on her porch was knocked over.

Susan spotted a helpless little bird that was just a day old. She quickly took action and gently scooped up the precious animal to attempt to save him. She used her body warmth to get the bird comfortable while waiting for the mom to return.

When the momma bird never showed up, Susan made a makeshift bed out of Tupperware for the tiny fighter. Days started to go by and little by little, the bird began to eat and grow. We’re thankful for people like Susan for saving this beautiful animal.
