Like most families with young children, when my kids were still toilet training we used a reward chart to encourage them for doing the right thing. I never found that the charts had a great effect on encouraging the kids to finally master their potty training, but as a young parent, you have to do everything you can until something works.
When my kids did do the right thing they would be so excited and proud of themselves. They even tried to teach their toys what they had learned. I’m sure any parent out there has seen their own kids do this.
The girl in this video has taken this to the next step. She is trying to teach the family dog how to use the potty. She even encourages him when he is right in the middle of ‘his business.’
