Youtuber Foo the Flowerhorn shows us how planted sweet potatoes in his betta tank. While the plants grew large and happy, the fish enjoyed exploring his new home.
When he first put in the sweet potatoes, all the leaves actually grew under the glass. I am curious why this could be, but perhaps it had something to do with the prevalence of water. I know when I grow sweet potato slips, each of them gets their own little cup of water.
It’s also lovely to see his betta fish, now named Kartoffel by his followers when he was so young. Kartoffel, for those that don’t know, means “potato” in German, and is appropriate for a fish that began his life in a sweet potato tank.
