Halloween is one of those few holidays people look forward to in many countries. Kids dress in horror costumes and visit different houses in their neighborhoods, asking for tricks or treats. Teens also have their private parties on Halloween.
Halloween is one such tradition that pets also enjoy. They also feel like dressing up in weird outfits and visiting houses to get some treats. This thought was recently portrayed by three Dachshunds, Crusoe, Oakley, and Daphne.
It was Halloween season, and their owner thought about dressing the dogs in suitable costumes and letting them visit different houses to trick or treat the neighbors. Although Oakley and Daphne were excited at the idea, Crusoe was somewhat skeptical since he was too old to enjoy such childish activities.
The three Dachshunds visited a few homes and finally came to the conclusion that most of the houses would not have any treats for dogs. Thus, they decided to ask some kids about neighbors with dog treats. Upon finding one such neighbor, they rush to the house to enjoy some dog treats. After getting a dog treat each, Crusoe thought going through all the trouble of changing into Halloween costumes for a single dog treat wasn’t worth it.
Thus, he decided that all three would change into different costumes and visit the same house for dog treats. The three Dachshunds changed into car suits and revisited the same place. Unfortunately, there was another dog in the house. The house dog grew suspicious about Crusoe and his gang.
Thus, Crusoe decided to go big this final time. He asked his siblings to wear the scariest costumes and get all the dog cookies they could find before returning to their home. So Crusoe dressed as Jason, Daphne dressed as a sawed body, and Oakley dressed as a “fishie.”
Unfortunately, the lady at the house recognized them. Nonetheless, the kind lady gave them some treats for the final time. No matter what the dogs wore, the lady seemed to identify them. Daphne decided to steal the rest of the cookies from the kind lady’s house with Crusoe and Oakley’s help. Although their mission was successful, the lady complained to their dad, who picked them up in his car and scolded them on their way home. Finally, he decided to return the stolen cookies. However, Oakley ate them all silently in the car.
