I always love watching videos of young animals playing with toys or with each other. It’s very easy to lose hours of one’s time watching them. I was disciplined this time ” I only watched another 20 minutes worth after this one before getting back to writing. OK, that’s focus – for me. I do have to warn you that you might be tempted to go on a binge-watching session after this. Just make sure you did your work first.
We see three horses in a field ” two foals and their mommy. One of them has a large toy in his mouth. It looks like a giant peanut and it’s blue. I immediately dub it ‘Blue Peanut’ in my head and it’s what I call it the rest of the video. The foal is running around and then falls while carrying Blue Peanut. He wriggles on the ground and I’m not sure if it’s a ‘Help! I’ve fallen and I can’t get up!’ moment or a ‘I just LOVE wriggling on this grass!’ moment.
The other foal decides to go over and finally investigate what is going on – and the first one bounds up and charges a bit as if to say, ‘MINE!’ – which sends the other one to his mommy’s side. I wonder if he whines, in horse language, that his brother isn’t playing with him. If so it apparently falls on deaf ears, since mommy just keeps on happily grazing. The first foal resumes playing with the Blue Peanut.
Like many other children of different species, these foals have to learn how to share. Otherwise there’s going to be a heck of a lot of bickering. I think their mommy would prefer to just keep on grazing instead of having to play ‘Horse Referee’ . I’m sure that the two brothers will be fighting over other toys as they grow up. Maybe they will learn to get along and they might not. Still, their human mommy, who is recording this, is very amused by what’s going on. At least someone’s happy.
Wasn’t this a cute video? Did it make you want to go get a Blue Peanut for yourself? It looks like it could be a fun piece of exercise equipment. We’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments section. Also, please ‘Like’ us on Pinterest.
