Dog Did NOT Want To Be Rescued Until Hope For Paws Came Along

Hope for Paws received a call about a small stray dog in downtown LA, reportedly abandoned weeks ago by a homeless couple. Their first-response team for downtown LA was also their A-team of celebrity volunteer Lisa Arturo and her courageous sidekick.

Lisa Arturo is an actress with multiple movies and dozens of TV-series to her credit. Lisa is not there for public relations, but for her and her friend’s unparalleled skillset. They were as formidable in what they do as the Lone Ranger and Tonto.

In no time at all Lisa and her friend arrived at the vicinity of the stray dog’s last reported sighting. They quickly located the dog from afar. It was time to execute their renowned modus operandi, which is to trap the stray inside a parking lot and then slowly cordon off the subject.

It has worked beautifully every time for Lisa and her friend, and this rescue was no exception. Watch this clip and see how the masters did it. At the risk of sounding corny, I would say it was poetry in execution and a thing of beauty.

At this point, Lisa’s next signature move is to name a stray dog on the spot. She named this small white dog Scooby, which was quite perfect, a real touch of quality. No, this stray looked nothing like Scooby-Doo, and that’s exactly why the name was so perfect.

Then it’s off to the vet for a designer haircut, followed by a luxurious bath. As of about a month ago, Scooby is at her foster home waiting for adoption.
