While many humans can agree that newborn animals are some of the cutest things on this planet, not all animals think the same way. Sometimes, when a mother horse gives birth, she does so in hopes of getting a Thoroughbred baby.
She will then give all of her milk to the Thoroughbred, and ignore all of her other children. Thanks to the Last Chance Corral in Athens, Ohio, a group of helpless foals was given a second chance at a happy life.
Victoria Goss is the founder of this unique rescue and is passionate about saving baby horses from a short life. She takes in foals and starts caring for them immediately. With her love for these majestic creatures, her organization has a mortality rate of less than 4%.
There’s no doubt that Victoria was put on this earth to care for these animals when no one else will. After the foal come in and get medically treated, they’re free to live a life full of happiness, health, and endless love at the Last Chance Corral.
