When I Saw What This Dog Did For This Disabled Woman, I Couldn’t Help But Burst Into Tears…

For disabled pet owner Clare Syversten, her adorable golden retriever Griffin is a God-given blessing. He does anything and everything for his owner.

Diagnosed with a degenerative tissue condition called Ehlers Danlos syndrome, Clare needs some extra help completing everyday tasks. And Griffin is ready and willing to provide his service.

The 26-year-old living in Northold, England was diagnosed with the condition when she was just 13. Because her joints are extremely loose, they can dislocate at the slightest movement. She was feeling helpless until she was finally able to find her loyal canine companion in 2013.

When Clare met Griffin through the charitable organization Canine Partners, she was matched with an assistance dog that could make her life easier. As soon as Griffin walked into the room, Clare felt a strong connection with the dog. For nearly two years, the duo has been completely inseparable.

This video shows a normal day for Clare and her pup. Griffin answers the phone and even accompanies Clare to the grocery store where he helps her reach items on the shelves and pay for her food.

‘Being a wheelchair user, people just ignore you when you go passed. Now, I’ve got Griffin. I’d be lost without him. He’s made everything happier,’ she says, wiping tears from her eyes.
