Cross-breeding dogs often leads to some striking differences in features for the puppies. In Rosie’s case, the striking difference was that not one of her gorgeous four pups resembled her in the slightest. A gorgeous fluffy Golden Retriever, Rosie was abandoned at the Neuse River Golden Retriever Rescue and heavily pregnant. Staff did everything they could to make Rosie comfortable for the impending birth.
Imagine the surprise, though, when Rosie gave birth to four, very healthy, heavily spotted pups. Not a golden one in the bunch. These four were so adorable, of course – puppies, ya know – and they seemed to have unusual markings, to say the least. In fact, these adorable little pups could pass for tiny little baby cows. Fittingly, the pups were given bovine-ish names: Daisy, Clarabelle, Betsy, and Moo. Rosie and all her pups have since been adopted into loving homes.
