Hope for Paws is an amazing non-for profit animal rescue organization that seeks out and attempts to rescue abandoned dogs living in South Los Angeles.
As soon as Hope for Paws received a message about this abandoned dog living on the streets, they rushed out to help. What they found was actually something different from what they had expected.
Fiona, the dog they were sent to rescue, is blind both eyes. The rescuers notice this; they switched tactics and went from a very visual-based form of communication to an act based form of communication.
When the rescuers got Fiona back to safety, they took her immediately to the vet to see what could be done. Fiona was treated for her damaged eyes and was able to make a full recovery. How is that for an incredible happy-eve-after? Check out this brilliant rescue in the video just below.
