Dancing isn’t just for people. At least that’s the opinion of Andreas Helgstrang and his dressage horse, Blue Hors Matine. Together, they boogied their way to stardom at the WEG2006 freestyle dressage competition.
Progressing through a litany of songs with varied rhythms, Blue Hors Matine showed off her fancy footwork to an appreciative audience for a course of over six minutes, while the crowd held its collective breath, waiting for what might come next.
The announcers were equally captivated, noting how much enjoyment the horse was clearly getting from her own performance. She was seemingly lost in the ever-changing rhythms of the musical excerpts emanating from the speakers of the full arena.
This horse and her rider appear to have a bright future in the world of dressage, as they have danced into the hearts of the audience at the event, but they have also earned Internet fame. Move over, Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers. This duo is taking the dancing world by storm.
