These women go out and film horses in the wild. This video is a series of film portraits that the photographers have compiled called ‘strong Women, Wild Horses.’ The photos are taken way out in one of the last wild places in the contiguous United States, the Great Basin.
This compilation of work shows us how horses live when they are unhindered by the presence of man. The horses are shown in all their natural majesty. But there is another message in the series.
The wild places are being infringed upon more and more as pressure continues to mount for more land to be turned into ranches, farms, or oil pipelines. The photo series shows both sides of the conflict.
