Bubbles, the piglet, was saved after being found on the freeway by Hannah and Justin. They were on the way home when Justin yelled out, “Pig!” The car came to a screeching halt when the brakes were slammed down.
Hannah has no idea how Justin was able to spot Bubbles because she was so small and fast. They were three hours away from home and didn’t know what to do.
After picking up Bubbles, she slept through the entire trip back. As soon as she was fed milk from a bottle, she perked up right away. Bubbles got milk all over her face and became “milk drunk,” according to Hannah.
At 750 grams, Bubbles was as big as Hannah’s phone. The vet found that Bubbles suffered some injuries to her back leg and eye. She was probably born on a truck and fell off.
Over time Bubbles became more courageous and curious. She even befriended Hannah’s Chocolate Labrador. Bubbles loves to nestle her nose into Hannah’s hand or neck for comfort.
Hannah would have loved to keep Bubbles, but she knew that Bubbles would thrive in a pig sanctuary. It was hard to say goodbye when Bubbles moved to Where Pigs Fly Farm Sanctuary.
Everyone in Bubbles’ new home loved her. She adores humans and is incredibly social. Hannah can come to visit her whenever she wants and even baked her a cake on her 6-month birthday.
