When Hadrien hears from his friend Claire that the cat she has found is pregnant and needs a foster, he volunteers for the job without hesitation. The beautiful long-haired calico, named Ciboulette, takes to Hadrien immediately, purring, and affectionately nuzzling up against her new foster dad.
Ciboulette has found her foster home just in time. Shortly after getting settled into Hadrien’s home, she begins going into labor and calling for her foster dad to accompany her through the delivery. She clearly wants his comfort and reassurance.
A good foster dad, Hadrien eagerly accommodates her wishes, never leaving her side and even helping her during the labor, bringing her nourishment in her exhaustion when her third kitten takes a little bit longer to appear than her earlier siblings. Eventually, all three of her babies enter the world. Momma and infant kittens pass with flying colors.
Several weeks later, the kittens are growing and thriving under the dependable care of Hadrien and Ciboulette, who team up in their care, and even wean them together. Polydactyl – sporting extra toes, like their mama – the kittens are adorable little balls of fluff and when they are ready to go to their own new homes, they get adopted quickly. But Ciboulette stays with Hadrien. He has adopted her and she is now an official member of his family.
