Dusty the bird had a great relationship with his friend Kerri, but when she got a boyfriend, Dusty grew rather possessive. Kerri says that Dusty moves around the house like he owns the place.
They have their own language, and wherever Kerri is, Dusty will be there as well. Since she works from home, Dusty got used to her always being around.
Clearly, Dusty was attached to her, and when Kerri’s new boyfriend Ryan showed up, there was a lot of tension. Ryan was more nervous about meeting Dusty compared to any of Kerri’s family.
Their first meeting didn’t go well. Dusty tried to drive him away and constantly pecked at him. Ryan tried to make an excellent first impression, but nothing he did helped.
After a while, Ryan realized that Kerri could not whistle. He thought it might be a good idea since he hasn’t tried it yet, and Dusty does like to sing.
When Ryan started whistling, both he and Kerri were surprised by how Dusty reacted. Dusty wasn’t attacking him, and he actually whistled back. They were able to bond.
Ryan and Dusty’s relationship has made progress. There are still ups and downs, and Ryan is glad that Kerri is happy with everything. Dusty is Kerri’s number one priority.
