Dogs have been friends with humans for nearly ten thousand years. The two species have grown close together and have both benefitted from working together. But, sadly, not all humans are kind. Like the people who owned the puppy mill in this video, who have committed an act of indescribable cruelty.
Fortunately for the dogs that were caged, there are groups out there like The Humane Society. These groups strive to rescue dogs from situations like this and to rehabilitate the dogs they rescue so they can find loving, forever homes.
This video focuses on a dog named Billy, who was rescued from a puppy mill. This little Chihuahua was just skin and bones when he was rescued, likely having lived in a tiny cage his whole life. Even though Billy knew nothing but maltreatment, he was not depressed or aggressive and has shown nothing but love and playful energy since his rescue. And, as you can see in the video, Billy is loved right back.
