When Robin saw Orlagh, a bunny with special needs, she knew right away that they belonged together. Robin had been searching for a bunny for months but felt no connection.
Fortunately, she found Bunny Buddies in Houston, and they rescue bunnies. Orlagh had been found in a box after someone dumped him. Bunny Buddies sent Robin a picture of Orlagh, and she got goosebumps.
Robin was sure that Orlagh was the bunny she had been looking for. Her husband was nervous at first, but he was charmed by Orlagh two minutes after meeting her.
Orlagh has splayed legs, most likely caused by bad breeding. Despite that, she is swift and never seems limited. She is also quite intelligent and learned to use the litter box in two days.
When people see Orlagh, they usually say, “poor thing,” but Robin wants them to know nothing is poor about her. Orlagh loves kids and all the animals in her home.
She has never had a bad day. At least twice a week, Orlagh is given a tush bath because she can’t lift her backside, and every month she has a sanitary trim.
After Orlagh’s one-year checkup, the vet couldn’t be happier with her progress. Robin is constantly overwhelmed with emotion because of her incredible connection with Orlagh. She wants people to know special needs animals deserve the same love as all creatures.
