It’s an event that can quickly turn your world upside down. One moment you can be looking leisurely out at the events going on outside, and then the next moment, you can be in a race against time to save someone or an animal. This was one of the things that the description ‘pulse-pounding’ was created for.
For one woman, it meant putting herself at risk to bring her beloved dog home. Apparently, while a woman was eating at a cafe in West London, she noticed that her dog had slipped away and somehow fallen into a pond. That would not be so bad, but it’s cold outside, and the water is half-frozen. If the pooch stays in the water for too long, she’s going to risk hypothermia.
This is quite an emergency. What is she going to do? It would take far too long to call for rescue services. She’s going to have to take matters into her own hands. Quickly thinking, she strips off her shoes and socks and tosses an inner tube into the water to keep her afloat as well. She climbs into the tube and starts going toward her baby dog.
The crowd watching obscures what’s going on entirely, but at the end of the video, we do see the pooch in her arms, and she’s turned back towards land. As they would say in Jolly Olde England: ‘Pip Pip – job well done!’ Check out the video below to see this lady bravely risking hypothermia to save her precious canine companion.
