For cat owners who use crystals, the PetSafe ScoopFree Ultra is the best choice. It is consistent, and Mallory didn’t experience any jamming or malfunctions. If you use disposable trays, it may get costly.
The CatGenie Self-Flushing Litter Box requires setup since it needs to be installed by a water line. This is a good choice for those who want convenience and don’t mind putting it all together.
Fourth on the list was the PetSafe Simply Clean. It is compact and works best for small cats. But it malfunctioned often. Lastly, the Litter Maid Multi-Cat is the most affordable option.
Mallory found the Litter Maid very inconsistent and inconvenient. Overall from the top five, she felt that she could only recommend the Litter-Robot and the PetSafe ScoopFree.
