Couple finds out they’re fostering the sweetest pregnant deaf mama dog

Maggie and Adam were part of a foster program for several months until they got a call about a pregnant dog. The shelter told them that the dog had just given birth.

They brought home Noodles, the dog, and Maggie was prepared for everything. She had been reading all about dog pregnancy and getting them acclimated into new spaces. After two days under their care, they realized that Noodles was deaf.

Noodles couldn’t hear when she was laying on top of her puppies or if they were having trouble latching onto her. Once they realized she was deaf, Maggie and Adam started using hand signals.

The puppies and Noodles were very comfortable, and Noodles slowly trusted her caretakers more and more each day. On the eighteenth day, Noodles jumped on Maggie and sat on her voluntarily.

It wasn’t long before it came time for the puppies to get adopted into their new homes. Adam felt great that they had raised happy and well-adjusted puppies. Meanwhile, Maggie was sobbing when they had to say goodbye.

Their plan had been to eventually adopt Noodles, but Adam’s mom had just retired. She was bonding with Noodles very quickly, so they decided to let Adam’s mom have Noodles.

Maggie and Adam ended up keeping one of the puppies, Willie. He was the smallest and loudest one. They knew he would be a challenge, but they couldn’t resist his charm.
