A family dog is very protective and stands guard all the time, watching everyone who tries to come close. But this Golden Retriever does the exact opposite whenever the garbage man comes by.
Dogs recognize the scent of their pack or family, and if a stranger tries to come in or tries to be friendly, they might treat this as a threat and take steps to protect their home.
However, a Golden Retriever, Shelby, formed a special bond with a man who comes to her house to get the garbage from her home. The dog acts very differently when she meets the garbage man.
Shelby’s owner, Josh Byrne, decides to capture the moment of their interaction. So, Josh sits outside the house patiently waiting for the garbage truck. Finally, the garbage truck comes to their home at an appointed pick-up time.
The garbage man pulls up outside Josh’s house. However, what happened next took him by surprise. Shelby, the Golden Retriever, ran to the garbage collector. As soon as the dog came close to the trash man, he bent down and patted the excited and happy dog on the head.
The petting mode lasted for a few seconds. The garbage man even rubbed the dog’s thick coat with a loving gesture, and the dog loved every minute of the love showered on her.
Of course, the garbage man is even friendly with Josh, and the reason is self-explanatory. If Shelby is fine being friends with him, the garbage man must be a good guy.
