Willow is a sheep who is best friends with a pig named Percy. Their friendship began when Willow was an orphaned lamb, and Percy was a tiny Piglet.
Debbie of Where Pigs Fly remembers when Willow and Percy arrived in the sanctuary within days of each other. They bonded immediately after experiencing heartache within the first weeks of their lives.
Willow was around 3 days old when she damaged her left eye. Willow and Percy sought comfort in each other. Percy was found after being hit by a car and didn’t even weigh a kilo.
They raise many pigs at the sanctuary, but Percy has one of the biggest personalities. He has absolutely no fear of other animals, and they move out of his way.
Percy’s only weakness is belly rubs. If he is rubbed on his belly for one to two seconds, he will fall onto the side. Even months later, when he grew larger, he still rolled over.
Toward the other animals, Percy is quite-ill-mannered, and he bothers them a lot. When it comes to Willow, he shares his food and takes care of her. Willow is gentle and has a lot of patience.
Percy enjoys using Willow as his Pillow, and she is very accommodating to him. Debbie is surprised that their friendship has continued, and she knows it will be a lifelong bond at this point.
