Bloodhound Accidently Wins 7th Place in Half-Marathon

If you’ve ever run a half marathon, you know that it takes months of training, diet changes, and hard work. During the Elkmont Trackless Train Half Marathon in Canada, just as the race was about to begin, there was a surprise runner that joined them.

A local bloodhound who had been let out to go to the bathroom raced alongside the athletes as they completed mile after mile. The Bloodhound goes by the name Ludivine and was the start of the show after crawling under the fence in his yard.

While he did get distracted along the way with the smell of nature and other animals, Ludivine ended up running the entire 13.2 miles. Not only did he finish with the human runners, but the Bloodhound also managed to get the seventh place.

With a final time of just over an hour and a half, the pup was awarded a medal from Elkmont’s Hound Dog Half’s. Ludivine’s owner has said, “All I did was open the door, and she ran the race on her own accord.”

It’s safe to say that the majority of people can’t run a half marathon without training, this Bloodhound shows us how to complete the entire thing at the last minute. After going out for a bathroom break, he crawled under the fence and joined the rest of the athletes. #Dog #Running #Pet
