Buckley was a sad baby cow until he met a baby goat named Ralphy. Leslie got Buckley when he was 5 weeks old, and Buckley was heartbroken without his mommy.
He was scared and cried for three days straight until he couldn’t cry anymore. Leslie did everything she thought of, and nothing calmed Buckley down or made him eat.
Then Leslie’s daughter came up with the idea of getting a baby goat and raising him together with Buckley. As soon as Buckley saw Ralphy, he perked up.
Buckley’s mood shifted immediately, and he became inseparable from Ralphy. They would play and cuddle together. Ralphy even showed Buckley how to have fun with toys.
Thanks to Ralphy, Buckley’s life was saved in the long run. They were always together, and the first time Leslie heard Buckley moo was when he was separated from Ralphy.
Four years and a half years later, Buckley and Ralphy are still neer more than 20 feet apart. If Buckley doesn’t see Ralphy, he will look up and start mooing until Ralphy comes into his view.
Ralphy could be with the other goats, but he’d rather be with Buckley. Leslie couldn’t be happier with how their relationship turned out. They do everything together and are surely best friends for life.
