Luna, the cow, was heartbroken when her baby, Violet, had to be taken away from her. They arrived together at the sanctuary after being rescued from a dairy farm.
Rian Feldman, the founder of Uncle Neil’s Home, took in Luna and Violet after she was told that Luna could no longer produce any milk. The most amazing thing happened after they arrived in their new home.
Somehow Luna started to produce enough milk for Violet. Two weeks later, Violet showed signs of severe respiratory distress. She had to be taken to the hospital.
Violet had severe pneumonia and didn’t have a good chance of surviving the ordeal. It was devastating to hear, and Luna took it the hardest because she didn’t know what was happening to her baby.
Rian felt helpless, and they did all they could at the sanctuary to reassure Luna that her baby was coming back home. They even had a FaceTime meeting with Luna and Violet.
Luna cried while she was apart from her child. She was barely eating or sleeping. Finally, Violet improved after a month in the hospital. Rian was relieved to hear she was going to make it.
When Luna saw the car pull up with Violet in the back, she ran up to the gate. The two were reunited, and Luna licked Violet for ten minutes straight.
