Roaming the streets of a small city in Romania was a friendly and timid homeless dog. She followed people around, getting their attention to try and receive their help.
The organization Howl Of A Dog went to the city to go and help the stray dog. There were many cars around, and they didn’t want to scare the dog away.
They named her Lily and gave her food to slowly gain her trust. Eventually, Lily felt at ease with them, and they were able to put a leash on her.
One of the rescuers carried Lily to the car and placed her on her lap. They went straight to the veterinary clinic, and Lily fell asleep on her rescuer’s lap.
Lily was scanned for a microchip, and none was found. In Romania, it is mandatory for all owners to chip their dogs. The vet estimated that Lily was around two years old.
A series of blood tests were given to Lily, and she received medication for her lice and ticks. For her immune system, she received vitamins and supplements. The results of the blood tests were good.
When Lily went on the walk for the first time, she was puzzled, but she eventually got the idea. She is now a happy, playful, fun dog who loves every minute of her new life.
